The 3D avatar is a transition between us and the virtual world. The aim is to make him look like a human being with our habits and attitudes. In this project, the avatars are just waiting, hidden from the public.

Finally, this idle in the video games insists on the false character of these created persons.

Valerie Belin has well developped this report between reality and virtuality, in her photographic works with shop mannequins and people.

For this aesthetic of this project, I got inspired by several painters like Alex Katz who creates a sense of distance with the subject by using plain colors.
